New Shasta Tackle’s Teaser Grubs
By Kent Cannon
A few years ago, I was trying out just about everything I could lay my hands on to catch fish. One of the items that I used, were the curly tail grubs that the bass fishermen use to entice a bite. I trolled just about every color that they made, and quite honestly caught quite a few fish on them, especially in the spring. I had forgotten all about them until recently when I stumbled across them at the Sportsmen’s Show in Portland a few weeks ago.
Gary Miralles owner of Shasta Tackle turned me on to a sampling of a new product that they are now carrying; the Teaser Grub. These babies are very small, unlike the grubs that I was trying out a few years back. They are about three quarters of an inch long and will thread nicely on the trailer hook of just about any tackle you are using to troll for kokanee. They come in a small zip-lock bag which will make adding some of your favorite scent a snap. They are large enough the catch the eye of our favorite prey, yet small enough to not inhibit the action of smaller lures. These should be available soon in stores throughout the Northwest as well as on Shasta Tackle‘s website.
